On the road to “The end of the world!” The North of Cotentin stretches from The Hague in the west to the island of Tatihou (takes about 1 hour) in the east, crossing through Valognes and Portbail (the “virtual” southern border) will let you discover a region with many landscapes.
Turning towards Manche, the northern beach shows the onlooker on its western side, not only an indented coast with large bays open to the sea, but also cliff edges covered with beautiful green and brown bracken. On its eastern side, rocky coasts are followed by green pastures or farms, surrounded by a few breaks or beaches with fine sands.
We count 3 big tourism zones: Cherbourg and its surroundings, the Route de Caps in the west and the Val de Saire in the east. See below a few places you must see .
